PMEDAP is a research compound with demonstrated antiviral and antitumor activity. It inhibits HIV replication and murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV) in vitro, and has shown efficacy in vivo by suppressing Moloney murine sarcoma virus (MSV) -induced tumor formation and mortality in murine models.
