Enmetazobactam (AAI101) is a novel extended-spectrum β-lactamase inhibitor used in research to combat multi-drug resistant Gram-negative bacteria. It is studied in vitro and in vivo to restore the efficacy of β-lactam antibiotics like cefepime against infections caused by ESBL-producing Enterobacterales.
