Lofepramine
Lofepramine is a tricyclic antidepressant prodrug metabolized to desipramine. It potently inhibits norepinephrine and serotonin reuptake (Kd 5.4 nM and 70 nM, respectively) with weak receptor antagonism, making it a useful research tool for studying neurotransmitter transport and depression models in vitro and in vivo.
