Isavuconazole
Isavuconazole (BAL-4815) is the active moiety of the prodrug isavuconazonium sulfate (BAL8557), a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal. It demonstrates potent in vitro activity against Candida species, with MIC values ranging from ≤0.004 mg/L for C. albicans to 0.5 mg/L for C. glabrata. This agent is widely used in research models to study invasive fungal infections and antifungal efficacy.
