Elesclomol
Elesclomol is a lipophilic copper ionophore that induces oxidative stress and apoptosis in cancer cells. It is widely used in research to study copper-dependent cell death (cuproptosis) and has been shown to inhibit FDX1, disrupting iron-sulfur cluster biogenesis in both in vitro and in vivo models.
