Tafamidis
Tafamidis is a kinetic stabilizer of transthyretin (TTR) that inhibits amyloidogenesis by binding with negative cooperativity to stabilize the tetramer. It effectively stabilizes both wild-type and mutant TTR (e.g., V30M, V122I) under physiological and denaturing conditions in vitro and ex vivo. This small molecule is a key research tool for studying TTR amyloidosis mechanisms and therapeutic strategies.
