Ranolazine
Ranolazine is a late sodium current inhibitor used in chronic angina treatment and cardiovascular research. It modulates intracellular sodium levels, thereby affecting calcium handling during ischemia, as demonstrated in rabbit myocardial ischemia models. Its applications extend to in vitro electrophysiology studies and in vivo investigations of cardiac metabolism and arrhythmias.
