JQ-1 (carboxylic acid) is a potent, cell-permeable small molecule inhibitor of BRD4, exhibiting IC50 values of 77 nM and 33 nM for its first and second bromodomains, respectively. This compound is widely used in vitro and in vivo to study epigenetic regulation, cancer biology, and inflammation by blocking BET protein function.
