Cefpodoxime (free acid)
Cefpodoxime free acid is a third-generation oral cephalosporin antibiotic with broad-spectrum activity against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, excluding Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococcus, and Bacteroides fragilis. It is widely used in microbiological research for in vitro susceptibility testing and in vivo models of respiratory and urinary tract infections.
