BQR-695 (NVP-BQR695) is a potent and selective inhibitor of phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase IIIβ (PI4KIIIβ) . It demonstrates significantly higher potency against the Plasmodium variant (IC50 = 3.5 nM) compared to the human enzyme (IC50 = 80 nM) . This compound is a valuable chemical tool for studying PI4K biology and has shown promising antimalarial activity in both in vitro and in vivo research models.
