Deoxyshikonin (Arnebin 7) is a candidate for wound healing and lymphatic research, promoting lymphatic endothelial cord formation. It also exhibits synergistic antimicrobial activity with penicillin against resistant pneumococcal strains in both in vitro and in vivo models.
