TGN-020 is a small molecule inhibitor of Aquaporin 4 (AQP4; IC50 = 3.1 μM), the predominant water channel in the central nervous system. It is a valuable research tool for studying water homeostasis, neuroinflammation, and edema in models of stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) in both in vitro and in vivo settings.
