Praeruptorin C is a bioactive small molecule with antioxidant and calcium antagonist properties. It has been studied in vitro for neuroprotection by modulating NMDA receptors and the Bcl-2 family, and in models of vascular hypertrophy by influencing calcium levels, nitric oxide, and PKC signaling.
