Human. No cross reactivity with other human cytokines. No interference with soluble receptor gp80.
Specificity
The assay recognizes natural human IL-6. To define specificity, several proteins were tested for cross reactivity. There was no cross reactivity observed for any protein tested (IL-1alpha, IL-1beta, IL-10, IL-12, IFNgamma, IL-4, TNFalpha, IL-8 and IL-13). This testing was performed using the equivalent human IL-6 antibody pair in an ELISA assay.
