7-Acetoxy-4-methylcoumarin is a fluorogenic substrate used to assay carboxylesterase activity and functions as a glutathione S-transferase (GST) inhibitor. Isolated from Trigonella foenum-graecum, it has been utilized in vitro to study the inhibition of aflatoxin B1-DNA adduct formation.
