J-14 is a small molecule inhibitor of sulfiredoxin with an IC50 of 8.1 μM. By blocking this antioxidant enzyme, J-14 elevates intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS), inducing oxidative stress-mediated cytotoxicity in cancer cells, making it a useful research tool for studying redox biology in vitro.
