Paltusotine is an orally bioavailable, nonpeptide small molecule agonist of the somatostatin type 2 (SST2) receptor. It is used in research to investigate the pharmacological control of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) levels, relevant for acromegaly studies in both in vitro and in vivo models.
