PSI-6130 (R 1656) is a selective inhibitor of the Hepatitis C virus NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, demonstrating potent antiviral activity with a mean IC50 of 0.6 μM in replication assays. This nucleoside analog has been utilized in both in vitro mechanistic studies and in vivo preclinical research to investigate therapeutic strategies against HCV infection.
