6-AZATHYMINE
6-Azathymine is a potent inhibitor of D-3-aminoisobutyrate-pyruvate aminotransferase. It acts as a competitive inhibitor versus beta-alanine and an uncompetitive inhibitor versus pyruvic acid (Ki ~8.9 mM) . This compound is used in enzymology research to study pyrimidine metabolism and amino acid transamination pathways in vitro.
