KRIBB11 is a small molecule heat shock factor 1 (HSF1) inhibitor with IC50 of 1.2 uM; inhibits HSF1 downstream target proteins HSP70 and HSP72 synthesis, induces growth arrest and apoptosis in HCT-116 cells, inhibits HSF1-dependent recruitment of p-TEFb to the hsp70 promoter; inhibits tumor growth without body weight loss in mice model.
