A calcimimetic agent that acts as an allosteric activator of CaSR; increases the concentration of cytoplasmic Ca (2+) in human embryonic kidney 293 cells expressing the human parathyroid CaR with EC50 of 51 nM; decreases PTH secretion from cultured bovine parathyroid cells with IC50 of 28 nM; is used for the treatment of tertiary hyperparathyroidism.Hyperparathyroidism Approved.
