Salbutamol hemisulfate, also known as Albuterol Sulfate, is a short-acting β2-adrenergic receptor agonist with a half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 8.93 μM. It is widely used in respiratory research, including in vitro studies of bronchial smooth muscle relaxation and in vivo models of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) .
