L-Chicoric Acid
Chicoric Acid is a natural compound. To date, plants from at least 63 genera and species have been found to contain chicoric acid, and while the compound is used as a processing quality indicator, it may also have useful health benefits. Chicoric acid induces apoptosis in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes through ROS-mediated PI3K/Akt and MAPK signaling pathways. Chicoric acid stimulates AMP kinase pathway in L6 myotubes and extends lifespan in Caenorhabditis elegans.
