This item specifically recognises an epitope within the C-Terminal (CT) region of human Apolipoprotein L1 (APOL1), a secreted high density lipoprotein and member of the apolipoprotein L family, which interacts with apolipoprotein A-I (APOA1) in plasma. Two isoforms of APOL1 have been identified, which may play a role in lipid exchange and transport throughout the body, and possibly in the reverse transport of cholesterol from peripheral cells to the liver. This item is expected to recognise both reported isoforms of human APOL1.
