Storage Conditions
Store at 4 °C or at -20 °C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 12 months from date of despatch.
Specificity
This item is specific for human Bcl-2 interacting mediator of cell death (Bim), also known as Bod.

Bim is a pro-apoptotic protein within the Bcl-2 family, which functions within the intrinsic apotosis pathway. Bim is known to interact with pro-survival proteins including Bcl-2, Bcl-XL and Bcl-w.

Bim is expressed in a variety of cell types, where it is maintained in an inactive conformation by phosphorylation or through binding to the microtubule-associated dynein motor complex. Upon certain apoptotic stimuli, Bim is released from microtubules and mediates caspase-dependent apoptosis.
