Specificity
This item recognises the pancreatic polypeptide hormone glucagon, whose actions are antagonistic to insulin. Glucagon is produced by A cells within the Islets of Langerhans in the pancreas.

<br>Tumours arising from glucagon producing cells are termed glucagonomas, and this antibody may be useful in identifying such tumours.
