DFHBI
DFHBI is a small molecule, resembles the chromophore of green fluorescent protein (GFP) . Spinach and DFHBI are essentially nonfluorescent when unbound. The Spinach-DFHBI complex is brightly fluorescent both in vitro and in living cells.
