Harmaline hydrochloride is a fluorescent indole alkaloid from the group of harmala alkaloids and beta-carbolines. It is the partially hydrogenated form of harmine.Harmaline produces a generalized tremor in normal rats by inducing rhythmic firing of inferior olivary neurons.
