Specificity
Anti-p53 [Murine MAb recognizes p53, a tumor suppressor gene product that is mutated in a wide variety of cancers. Epitope is in aa 20-25 of human p53.]<br>This antibody recognizes an epitope within aa 20-25 at the N-terminus of human p53. p53 is a nuclear protein and tumor suppressor that is mutated in a wide variety of cancers. It mediates cell cycle arrest in response to DNA damage, making it important in the maintenance of genomic stability.
