8-Oxo-dGTP

8-Oxo-dGTP also known as: 8-Hydroxy-dGTP; 8-Oxo-2'-deoxyguanosine-5'-triphosphate, Sodium salt; 8-Hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine-5'-triphosphate, Sodium salt. 8-Oxo-dGTP is an oxidized guanine nucleotide commonly used in studies of oxidative DNA damage, nucleotide pool sanitization, and DNA repair mechanisms. As a biologically relevant oxidative lesion precursor, it is a valuable tool for investigating how damaged nucleotides affect genome stability and cellular responses under oxidative stress conditions. This modified nucleotide has been widely applied in research on base excision repair, erroneous incorporation by DNA polymerases, and hydrolysis to 8-oxo-dGMP by E. coli MutT. It is also used in studies exploring ROS-associated cellular senescence and the biological consequences of oxidized nucleotide accumulation. Owing to these features, 8-Oxo-dGTP is well suited for applications in DNA damage biology, enzymology, repair pathway analysis, and oxidative stress research.
