PADRE peptide

PADRE peptide is a universal peptide epitope. It binds to the pan HLA-DR receptor on specific T cells. PADRE peptide can be incorporated into either the Trichodysplasia Spinulosa-associated polyomavirus (TSPyV) VP1 protein or hamster polyomavirus (HaPyV) -derived VP1 to construct chimeric virus-like particles (VLPs), thereby activating dendritic cells and T cells and inducing a strong immune response. PADRE peptide is useful in vaccine development.
