Human Laminin 521 Protein, Research Grade (Flagship)
Laminins are a major component of basement membranes. Each laminin molecule is a heterotrimeric glycoprotein composed of one α, one β, and one γ chain. To date, five α, three β, and three γ laminin chains have been identified that associate to form at least 15 laminin isoforms. Laminin 521 is found in the glomerular basement membrane in kidney, in the neuromuscular synaptic cleft in skeletal muscle and in other tissues such as placenta and lung.
