The sulfate form of 17a-Hydroxypregnenolone (17α-hydroxypregnenolone sulfate) is the main interfering substance in neonatal plasma, which can significantly affect the immunoassay results of 17α-hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP) by cross-reacting with antibodies[1].
