Background
Horseradish peroxidaseremoves hydrogen peroxide, acts in oxidation of toxic reductants, biosynthesis and degradation of lignin, response to environmental stresses such as wounding, pathogen attack and oxidative stress. HRP is also used as an epitope tag, for protein overexpression.
