Bioactivity

The ED50 as determined by dose-dependent induction of IL-6 by mouse NIH 3T3 fibroblasts is 0.44-0.66ng/ml.

Reconstitution

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Interleukin Rat 17A in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Function

Ligand for IL17RA and IL17RC. The heterodimer formed by IL17A and IL17F is a ligand for the heterodimeric complex formed by IL17RA and IL17RC. Involved in inducing stromal cells to produce proinflammatory and hematopoietic cytokines.

Storage Conditions

Lyophilized Interleukin Rat 17A although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Rat IL17 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
