FETUB Fetuin-B Human Recombinant Protein
Fetuin-B Human Recombinant produced in HEK cells is a single, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing a total of 377 amino acids, having a molecular mass of 41.8kDa (calculated) though it migrates at approximately 55kDa on SDS PAGE, the Fetuin-B is also composed of a 4 a.a N-terminal linker and fused to a 6 a.a His tag at C-Terminus. The Human FETUB is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Protease inhibitor required for egg fertilization. Required to prevent premature zona pellucida hardening before fertilization, probably by inhibiting the protease activity of ASTL, a protease that mediates the cleavage of ZP2 and triggers zona pellucida hardening (By similarity) .
