PTH-Related Protein (1-16) (human, mouse, rat)
Schlüter et al. observed that pTHrP (1-16), an N-terminal fragment of pTH-related protein lacking a pTH/pTHrP-receptor binding domain and thus the biological activity on classical pTHrP target cells, could activate the cardiac ET-A receptor. On the other hand, Langlois et al. could not detect binding of the fragment to ET-A nor to the ET-B receptor.
