Product Specifications

Background

ATP-dependent Clp protease proteolytic subunit (ClpP) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CLPP gene. It is mapped to 19p13.3. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the peptidase family S14 and hydrolyzes proteins into small peptides in the presence of ATP and magnesium. The protein is transported into mitochondrial matrix and is associated with the inner mitochondrial membrane.

Synonyms

ATP-dependent Clp protease proteolytic subunit, mitochondrial; Endopeptidase Clp; CLPP

Gene Name

caseinolytic mitochondrial matrix peptidase proteolytic subunit

UniProt

Q16740

Host

Rabbit

Reactivity

Human,Mouse,Rat

No cross-reactivity with other proteins.

Immunogen

E. coli-derived human CLPP recombinant protein (Position: A184-H247).

Clonality

Polyclonal

Tissue Specificity

Detected in liver (at protein level). Predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle. Intermediate levels in heart, liver and pancreas. Low in brain, placenta, lung and kidney.

Applications

ELISA,Flow Cytometry,IF,IHC,ICC,WB

Purification

Immunogen affinity purified.

Concentration

Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.

Form

Lyophilized

Reconstitution

Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.

Function

Protease component of the Clp complex that cleaves peptides and various proteins in an ATP-dependent process. Has low peptidase activity in the absence of CLPX. The Clp complex can degrade CSN1S1, CSN2 and CSN3, as well as synthetic peptides (in vitro) and may be responsible for a fairly general and central housekeeping function rather than for the degradation of specific substrates.

Storage Conditions

Store at -20℃ for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4℃ for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20℃ for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Fragment

Rabbit IgG
