Iberiotoxin TFA

Iberiotoxin (TFA) is a potent and selective blocker of large-conductance calcium-activated potassium (BK) channels, with a Kd of ~1 nM, while showing no effect on voltage-gated ion channels. This toxin is a valuable tool for studying BK channel function in neurobiology, smooth muscle physiology, and in models of hypertension and epilepsy, both in vitro and in vivo.
