ACTH (7-38) (human)
ACTH (7-38) (human), also known as corticotropin inhibitory peptide (CIP), is a synthetic antagonist of the ACTH receptor. It is used in research to study the regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models, as it lacks intrinsic corticosteroidogenic activity.
