Huwentoxin I
Huwentoxin I (HWTX-I) is a peptide neurotoxin that potently inhibits voltage-gated sodium and N-type calcium channels. It is a valuable research tool for studying ion channel function and neuronal excitability in both in vitro systems, such as rat hippocampal and insect DUM neurons, and in vivo pharmacological models.
