This anti-parallel dimeric form of vasopressin is a research tool capable of activating four vasopressin/oxytocin-family GPCRs: V1aR, V1bR, V2R, and OTR. It is utilized in both in vitro and in vivo studies to investigate receptor signaling, central and peripheral physiological effects, and related pharmacological mechanisms.
