Drosocin

Drosocin is a 19-amino acid cationic antimicrobial peptide from Drosophila melanogaster. Its native glycosylated form, featuring a disaccharide on a central threonine, is essential for full biological activity, as the unglycosylated synthetic variant shows markedly reduced potency in antimicrobial studies.
