Aurein 3.1
Aurein 3.1 is an antimicrobial peptide with antibiotic properties. In contrast, Aurein 2.6 is active against Gram-positive bacteria, showing MIC values of 80 μM for Micrococcus luteus and 50 μM for Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus mutans, and Bacillus subtilis. These peptides are valuable tools for researching novel antibacterial mechanisms in vitro.
