MHuwentoxin-IV
MHuwentoxin-IV is a modified peptide toxin that potently and selectively blocks TTX-sensitive voltage-gated sodium channels (IC50 ~54 nM) in DRG neurons, an effect which is voltage-insensitive. This makes it a valuable pharmacological tool for studying pain pathways and sodium channel subtypes in both cellular and animal models of neurophysiology.
