Product Specifications

Background

Urea transporter 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC14A1 gene. The SLC14A1 codes for a urea transporter (UTB) that is expressed in erythrocytes and kidney. SLC14A2 and SLC14A1 constitute solute carrier family 14. UTB proteins constitute the Kidd antigen system.

Synonyms

Meiotic recombination protein REC8 homolog; Cohesin Rec8p; REC8; REC8L1

Gene Name

REC8 meiotic recombination protein

UniProt

Q8VHL0

Host

Rabbit

Reactivity

Human,Mouse,Rat

Cross Reactivity

No cross-reactivity with other proteins.

Immunogen

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of human SCEL, identical to the related mouse and rat sequences.

Clonality

Polyclonal

Tissue Specificity

Expressed in testis and thymus. Expressed in the B-cell lines WI-L2-NS and Namalwa.

Applications

WB,Flow Cytometry

Purification

Immunogen affinity purified.

Concentration

Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.

Form

Lyophilized

Reconstitution

Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.

Function

Required during meiosis for separation of sister chromatids and homologous chromosomes. Proteolytic cleavage of REC8 on chromosome arms by separin during anaphase I allows for homologous chromosome separation in meiosis I and cleavage of REC8 on centromeres during anaphase II allows for sister chromatid separation in meiosis II.

Storage Conditions

Store at -20℃ for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4℃ for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20℃ for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Fragment

Rabbit IgG

Applications Notes

Western blot, 0.25-0.5μg/ml, Mouse, Rat<br> Flow Cytometry (Fixed), 1-3μg/1x106 cells, Mouse<br>

Subcellular Location

Nucleus. Chromosome. Centromere.

Protein Name

Vesicular acetylcholine transporter
