Product Specifications

Background

T-cell lymphoma invasion and metastasis-inducing protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TIAM1 gene. This gene is mapped to 21q22.11. TIAM1 modulates the activity of Rho GTP-binding proteins and connects extracellular signals to cytoskeletal activities. In addition, TIAM1 activates Rac1, CDC42, and to a lesser extent RhoA.

Synonyms

T-lymphoma invasion and metastasis-inducing protein 1;TIAM-1;TIAM1;

Gene Name

T-lymphoma invasion and metastasis-inducing protein 1

UniProt

Q13009

Host

Rabbit

Reactivity

Human

Cross Reactivity

No cross-reactivity with other proteins.

Immunogen

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of human TIAM1, different from the related mouse sequence by five amino acids.

Clonality

Polyclonal

Tissue Specificity

Found in virtually all analyzed tumor cell lines including B- and T-lymphomas, neuroblastomas, melanomas and carcinomas.

Applications

WB

Purification

Immunogen affinity purified.

Concentration

Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.

Form

Lyophilized

Reconstitution

Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.

Function

Modulates the activity of RHO-like proteins and connects extracellular signals to cytoskeletal activities. Acts as a GDP- dissociation stimulator protein that stimulates the GDP-GTP exchange activity of RHO-like GTPases and activates them. Activates RAC1, CDC42, and to a lesser extent RHOA. Required for normal cell adhesion and cell migration. .

Storage Conditions

Store at -20℃ for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4℃ for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20℃ for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Fragment

Rabbit IgG

Applications Notes

Western blot, 0.1-0.5μg/ml, Human<br>

Subcellular Location

Cell junction. Cell membrane; Peripheral membrane protein; Cytoplasmic side. Detected at the boundary between cells with actin-rich protrusions (By similarity). Presence of KRIT1, CDH5 and RAP1B is required for its localization to the cell junction. .
