Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM), High Glucose

DMEM, or Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium, is basal medium widely used for the growth of many mammalian cells, such as primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, smooth muscle cells, HeLa, 293, Cos-7, and PC-12 cell lines. This formulation contains high glucose. Supplementation is required, most commonly with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) for cell culture use, and requires a 5-10% CO₂ environment to maintain physiological pH.
