Anti-Thymopoietin TMPO Antibody
Boster Bio Anti-Thymopoietin TMPO Antibody (Catalog # A03278-1) . Tested in ELISA, WB, ICC, IF applications. This antibody reacts with Human, Mouse.
Product Specifications
Background
Thymopoietin (TMPO), also known as LAP2, is a widely expressed lem-domain-containing nuclear protein that is thought to play an important role in the regulation of nuclear architecture by binding lamin B1 and chromosomes in a manner regulated by phosphorylation during mitosis. Thymopoietin associates with nucleoplasmic lamins A/C, which are encoded by the dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) gene LMNA; mutations in Thymopoietin disrupt this binding, suggesting that Thymopoietin may be a candidate disease gene for DCM.
Synonyms
TP, LAP2, CMD1T, LEMD4, PRO0868, Lamina-associated polypeptide 2, isoform alpha, Thymopoietin isoform alpha, TP alpha
Gene Name
TMPO
UniProt
P42166
Host
Rabbit
Reactivity
Human, Mouse
Cross Reactivity
At least three isoforms of Thymopoietin are known to exist; this antibody will detect all isoforms. Thymopoietin antibody is predicted to not cross-react with other LEM domain-containing proteins.
Immunogen
Thymopoietin antibody was raised against a 19 amino acid synthetic peptide near the amino terminus of human Thymopoietin. The immunogen is located within amino acids 80 - 130 of Thymopoietin.
Clonality
Polyclonal
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in many tissues. Most abundant in adult thymus and fetal liver.
Applications
ELISA, WB, ICC, IF
Field of Research
Homeostasis
Purification
Thymopoietin Antibody is affinity chromatography purified via peptide column.
