IL-17A is a cytokine belonging to the IL-17 family. They control many different cell functions, including proliferation, differentiation and cell survival/apoptosis, but also participate in some pathophysiological processes, including virus infection and autoimmune diseases. The IL-17 cytokine family includes six members, IL-17/IL-17A, IL-17B, IL-17C, IL-17D, IL-17E/IL-25 and IL-17F, which are produced by various cell types. IL-17 regulates the activities of NF-KD and mitogen-activated protein kinase. This cytokine can stimulate the expression of IL-6 and cyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX-2) and enhance the production of nitric oxide (NO) . High levels of IL-17 are associated with several chronic inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and multiple sclerosis

Measure by its ability to induce IL-6 secretion in 3T3 cells.The ED₅₀ for this effect is <1 ng/mL.The specific activity of recombinant mouse IL-17A is > 1 x 10⁶ IU/mg.

Always centrifuge tubes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized recombinant Mouse IL-17A protein to a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/mL in sterile ddH2O, and keep at room temperature for at least 20 min to fully dissolve. Please avoid vortex vigorously
